DescriptionAlbany International Corp. is currently implementing SAP, a world-class ERP system, on a global basis. This implementation will enable Albany International to “simplify and unify its business processes through standardization and implementation of best practices” as well as gaining control and consistency of its enterprise Master Data and its manufacturing, planning, and reporting processes. The Master Data Coordinator will play a key role in insuring that our Master Data for Vendors and Materials is accurate and consistent. The Coordinator will interact with Global Commodity Managers, local buyers, and suppliers for all of the Company’s business units. The position will also be charged with training new employees in procedures related to SAP’s Procure to Pay Master Data processing.Major responsibilities include:- Review and follow up of global Vendor Master/Material master requests for SAP to insure accuracy of data and prevent duplications. - Proactive in following and maintaining Vendor & Material Master process requirements.- Have a strategic understanding of the Commodity Manager role as it relates to efficient processing of master data records. - Basic knowledge of the supplier base and the goods/services provided.- Ability to create and/or apply training manuals in a classroom setting.- Responsible for training internal customers on SAP Procure to Pay processes and procedures.- Exercise interpersonal skills and teamwork in a multicultural environment.- Work in self managed team environment.Albany International is an AA/EEO/M/F/V/D employer.Required SkillsExcellent communication skills, verbal and written to provide effective and timely communications with/to a variety of Albany International and supplier personnel. Proficient in use of ERP system, Excel, Word, Outlook.Required ExperiencePurchasing experience 3-5 years. Experience with SAP > 2 years. Training experience 2 years.
