SECURITY CLEARANCE/LEVEL REQUIRED:
Current Secret clearance mandatory; Top Secret eligibility desirable.

PRIMARY FUNCTION(S):

Provides Program/Project/Specialist acquisition support management expertise and guidance in accordance with DoD acquisition process (DOD 5000 series) and NSSAP policies, procedures and regulations. Assists in managing programs/projects or a portion of the overall program.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzing and planning long term upgrades, including cost and schedule as well as retrofit strategy and schedule.

- Compares program direction and guidance in directives, plans, and other documents, identifies discrepancies, and recommends actions.

- Analyzes acquisition issues and develops risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving program planning, control, and execution.

- Prepares, reviews, and integrates selected milestone review documentation, periodic reports, and certifications.

- Reviews deliverable status together with milestone schedules, status reports, and cost performance reports; determines accuracy of information/situation depicted, and reports inconsistencies.  Prepares and presents briefings and reports;

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

- Ten years experience on DoD acquisition programs - Air Force systems preferred.

- Experience with DoD Contractor tasking, progress reviews, and management desired.

- Working knowledge of related disciplines in Systems Program Office environment.

- Experience with DoD acquisition process (DOD 5000 series) and NSSAP policies, procedures and regulations

- Must have a positive attitude, ability to work well with others and flexibility to changing workloads.  - Possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience or training, Masters desired

- APDP Certification a plus.

- PMI - PMP Certification a plus.

- Knowledge of DoD based planning systems.
