SR. RECRUITER / STAFFING SPECIALIST - DoD Experience

 

Position Description:

Provide full-cycle staffing support to recruit experienced systems acquisition, IT/IA, engineering, technical specialists, and program management service professionals in a DoD contractor environment. Position encompasses all aspects of prospecting, qualifying and closing; taking candidates from initial interviews to offer acceptance and placement stage.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

* Confer with hiring managers to identify and develop personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills. Develop and maintain position descriptions.

* Identify and utilize new and existing methodologies to develop a pipeline of key talent, and best source of top candidates (e.g. complex Internet searches, custom research, web search, blogs, participate in job fairs, employee referrals, industry-specific sources, networking, and cold calling)

* Qualify and screen candidates; review resumes and background for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to the position description.

* Manage the interview scheduling and hiring logistics of all candidates. Perform reference checking procedures on selected candidates and review results with hiring managers.

* Confer with the hiring manager and Human Resources, extend the offer of employment to selected candidate; negotiate and finalize any changes to the offer.

* Input and update information into applicant tracking system. Maintain and document candidate data in compliance with OFCCP requirements. Maintain database for Affirmative Action Plan.

* Some travel may be required.

* Support special projects as assigned.

 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience;

* Demonstrated expertise in qualification and staffing DoD AF management, systems, engineering, and integration professionals a major plus.

* 5+ years prior technical or related recruiting experience.

* Prior experience with various HRIS applications, ATS or databases.

* Versed in Boolean logic, AIRS or similar internet search techniques.

* Working knowledge of OFCCP record keeping that relates to online recruitment and hiring practices by federal contractors and subcontractors.

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

* Proficient in Microsoft office applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

* Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision. Candidate needs to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as solid written and oral communication skills.  Also flexibility and attention to detail is a must in this position.
