Safety & Security Engineer

About the Company This position provides guidance, technical support, to all employees in regards to safety and security policies and procedures. Specifically, this position will be responsible for maintaining compliance in regard to safety-based regulations and standards, as well as site security issues, emergency response team(s), coordination with local emergency responders and other department issues as needed. Principle Activities/Duties * Works to identify implementation requirements for structured safety and security processes. * Identifies continuous improvement opportunities within HSEQ/ICS * Provides routine progress reports utilizing appropriate HSEQ/ICS metrics * Implement and maintain the elements of structured management programs. * Prepare and coordinate assignments for on-site inspections. * Track laws and regulations related to HSEQ/ICS. * Maintain safety procedures and compliance through best practices, technical solutions and problem solving. * Investigates work related incidents by analysis and intervention methods. * Additional responsibilities as assigned. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a technically related field i.e. such as Industrial Safety, Environment or similar Engineering discipline. One to three years preferred experience working in a manufacturing environment.
