Sales Application Engineer - Embedded Systems

VMETRO, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented team player to facilitate sales and design-ins of Embedded Solutions products, targeted at high-performance embedded signal and image processing applications for military/aerospace, telecommunications and industrial markets. This position will require frequent site visits working with prospects and customers through all stages of the opportunity lifecycle.

Primary responsibilities include:

Identifying customer technical requirements, and working with customers towards establishing an appropriate systems architecture to meet needs Working with sales, engineering and marketing teams to develop system implementation proposals Working with engineers to design, implement and demonstrate system implementations and benchmark applications for customers Project management to ensure that deliverables meet customer expectations Writing technical papers and application notes which illustrate how the technology can be used to address issues relevant to the markets served Making technical presentations to customers with sales personnel Writing technical proposals to win business Monitor and track activities (such as press releases, company announcements, etc.) related to programs relevant to VMETRO's current and future business opportunities Training members of VMETRO's sales and distribution network Extensive travel within the US
Minimum Requirements/Experience:

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering Excellent written and presentation skills In-depth understanding of signal processing principles and algorithms, particularly related to SIGINT, RADAR, SONAR and software defined radio (SDR) applications Background knowledge of FPGA development concepts and low level software implementation of embedded systems designs Basic knowledge of VME bus, PCI bus, RTOSs, and data flow analysis Knowledge of high speed serial data fabrics and protocols such as Aurora, PCIe, and sRIO and their use in embedded processing systems Three or more years technical sales or field applications engineering experience in the Mil/Aero industry US Citizenship or permanent residency status
Additional desired skills/qualifications:

Project management Additional technical sales and applications engineering experience a plus Experience using analysis tools (such as MATLAB) a plus
