The Pratt & Whitney Sales & Marketing organization is seeking a Sales Manager responsible for all sales related efforts for International Aerospace Tubes business unit in Indianapolis Indiana, including customer interaction, coordination with multiple organizational teams to develop and implement sales strategies to maximize opportunities and achieve or exceed sales targets.

Develop and maintain successful relationships with customers -- conduct presentations, negotiations and closing, long term and transactional sales contract. Expected to understand the repair market, identify opportunities and threats, develop strategies to meet objectives and mobilize the resources of Global Service Partners to execute those initiatives. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with repair unit management team, operations, sales client managers, and product based sales teams, engineering, central operations and financial organizations to assess and support existing or potential aftermarket sales opportunities.

Supervise and lead local and remote sales team in developing and executing successful sales and market strategies in support of business unit objectives. Conduct regular individual development and performance reviews with staff providing feedback on progress to objectives, UTC competencies, and areas of strength and opportunity. Participate in annual salary planning review with HQ management team.

Interact with engineering groups to meet technical requirements of customers, and work with repair development teams to assess competitive environment. Evaluate opportunities to ensure successful market penetration of new repairs. Coordinate with operations to ensure customer commitments are met and establish production readiness goals for new offerings.

Maintain close interaction with the GRS financial organization to assist with the monthly and annual sales forecasting process, pricing issues and support of profit goals of the business unit. Domestic and International Travel required.


Bachelor's degree in a related field plus a minimum of 7 years experience. Advanced degree preferred.


Sales experience strongly preferred.

Candidate must demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, leadership, and global perspective as this assignment requires significant interface with cross-functional teams and personnel, internal to P&W as well as with P&W customers.

Applicant must be proficient with Word, Excel and power point, and have excellent presentation skills.


This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Travel 20% to 40%.
