Satellite Systems/Telecommunications Engineer

We are looking for two Satellite Systems/Telecommunications Engineers. One member will provide technical support to the Managed Network Services Division including proposal write up, implementation and trouble shooting of satellite and terrestrial links. The other will assist in the E-Government Division with system concept definition, functional analysis, system design and more for satellite system support.
Managed Network Services Satellite Engineer Position
Location: Reston, Virginia
Requirements: At least three years of satellite communication transmission (satellite like design and implementation) is required and at least one year of communication network (TCP/IP, ATM, Ethernet) and Security (IPSEC, DES, AES, AI) are desired. BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent are required. An advanced degree is preferred. US Citizenship is required for the position as a US DOD Secret level clearance will be required. Those candidates having an Active Secret level clearance will be given preference.
Principal Telecommunications Engineer/Satellite Systems
Location: Mt. Weather, Virginia
Description The Principal Telecommunications Engineer/Satellite Systems Engineer will assist in the system engineering process for Satellite systems. The process includes but limited to system concept definition, requirement and functional analysis, system design, integrated engineering analysis, system integration, system verification and system validation.
Requirements 15 years of satellite experience and 5 years or more experience with system design with emphasize on earth stations, hands on experience in researching, designing, integrating, implementing and operating systems. Experience with video over satellite is a plus. BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field such as computer science, or physics. Systems engineering related to satellite ground systems, technical documentation, effective communications skills. Experience drawing and documenting systems using a CAD software. An active US DoD Top Secret clearance is required for this position.
