Senior Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer

Optical Air Data Systems has a ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity for the right Aerospace Engineer to work on a vintage combat aircraft.  We are looking for an Aerospace Engineer that can perform design and analysis on aero-structures.  The candidate will also be responsible for developing a duplicate set of controls for the aircraft.

In the position of Aerospace Engineer, you will support the design and development of a second cockpit for a vintage fighter (40’s/50’s era).  Your duties will include control system design, structural analysis and system level packaging into the host platform.  This position requires someone who works well in a multidisciplinary team, applies a thorough and consistent approach to requirements, and conducts engineering activities with technical rigor.

The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, fellow engineers, and technicians.  Must have previous experience in the aerospace industry.  Must be a self-starter with a drive to assimilate complex information and overcome problems both quickly and effectively.  Must have sound technical writing skills, a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and 5 years of experience.

 Education:  Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s preferred in Engineering

 

Experience:  5 years minimum related experience
