Company: Aerojet - Gainesville, VA Location: US-VA-Gainesville Job Category: IT/Software Development Reference Code: 3878~491438 Performs duties related to the definition, development, administration, maintenance, and documentation of Aerojet CAD and PLM applications (I-deas, NX, Teamcenter Engineering, and Teamcenter Enterprise). Manages design drawing and product package storage and archival. Supports other technical computing tools in a variety of computational environments ranging from single PC to HPC clusters, using operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows 2003, Linux, and HP-UX. CAD system (Teamcenter Engineering) support and maintenance - 40% Client CAD software support - 20% Analysis tool support - 10% Unix and WIndows system administration and support - 10% Programming and scripting - 10% Support of classified computing environment - 10% B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited school and 6 years of related information technology experience, with three to five years of managing UGS Engineering design tools (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Teamcenter Engineering and NX is required. I-deas experience is desired. Strong inter-personal and communication skills; capable of writing purchase justifications, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management. Independent problem solver; self-directed. Comfortable with most aspects of UNIX and Windows systems administration; for example, configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration, printing systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software, creating user accounts, performing backups. A solid understanding of UNIX-based and Windows-based operating systems. Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (Tk, Perl, a shell). Ability to do minimal debugging and modification of C programs. FORTRAN experience desired but not required. Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts such as NFS, NIS, DNS, and Active Directory. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship). EOE, D/V/M/F.
