Senior Applications Engineer

Description
Our client is recognized as a leading supplier of high-reliability data interface products for military and commercial aerospace applications for over 40 years, encompassing Fibre Channel, Ethernet, ARINC, and Data bus interfaces, Synchro/Resolver converters, and Solid-State Power and Motor Controllers. They are in need of a Senior Applications Engineer to work in their Long Island NY headquarters. Primary duties include: Provide technical support for customers and salespeople in an effort to win customer designs for company products. Respond to telephone and written (RFQs) technical inquiries from customers. Generate copy for sales materials such as product data sheets and application notes and manage the review, update and revision processes for these documents. Develop material for and make technical presentations (approximately 20% travel) to customers. Interface with Customers, Marketing and Engineering in defining new products. Understand details of company customers applications products and related technologies. Learn new technologies to support the technical direction of new company products. Evaluate technical aspects of competitor's products and develop strategies to deal with competitive issues. Support technical portion of proposal efforts. Develop training material and make presentations to educate Sales Force, Field Application Engineers, and new employees on company products. Design and prepare product demonstration units to show to customers. Perform laboratory evaluation on company and competitor products. Work with Customers, Engineering and Sales to define and implement custom product variations for tactical opportunities.



Requirements
B.S.E.E. or B.S. in Computer Engineering desired or equivalent in years of experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Applications Engineer, Software Engineer, or Design Engineer Proficient in C programing Experience with: Linux, VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity communications protocols, PCI, PCI-Express, VHDL, FPGA, Digital Design, Board Design is highly desirable Experience dealing with customers and excellent verbal/written communication skills Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)If interested in this opportunity send your resume in MS Word format to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] Att: richard Davis 071096 (RDD-M)
