Summary

 

HR Oasis, Inc. is searching for a dynamic Senior Avionics Systems Engineer for Military Cockpit Integration for Fixed Wing and/or Rotary Cockpits.  This person will be responsible for integrated avionic systems architecture design, development, integration and certification. Avionics Systems to be covered include Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) and Guidance. This person will provide technical and project engineering support for Program and Product Line Managers

 

Responsibilities

 Knowledgeable in Systems Engineering processes including, requirement analysis, specification, statement of works, functional allocation, hardware/software integration, systems integration and certification.Knowledgeable in system reliability, maintainability and safety to initiate or review FHA, PSSA, FMEA and SSA.Provides support for system trade studies, system requirements validation and capture/flow-down, flight deck operational philosophy development, architecture development, design reviews, and integration and certification planning.Addresses implementation issues arising from multiple requirement sources (e.g., regulatory, customer, etc.).Supports development of technical content of systems documents; reviews Product Line plan for Technical Standard Order (TSO) and/or Advisory Circular (AC) compliance or deviations thereto.Addresses technical discussion for Issues/Problems and provide recommendations for resolution; identifies program impacts and prepares technical descriptions for bid packages. Supports subsystem requirements and product reuse across the enterprise.Involvement in new product and system development and/or proposal activities with focus on integrated flight deck architectures.Evaluate operational requirements and user needs as a basis for avionics system definition.Development/review of the statement of work.Conduct trade-off studies on advanced avionics system architectures.Work closely with third-party avionics suppliers to ensure successful equipment integration and performance within the core avionics systems.Keep abreast of the state-of-the-art in avionics systems.Work collaboratively within a project team of committed professionals.May involve travel.

 

Qualifications

 Minimum Bachelor of Electrical or Computer Engineering; advanced degrees or equivalent experience preferred.Individual must have a minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience with some of these avionics systems: Cockpit Display Systems, AFCS, FMS, GPS, INS, Navigation Radios, Communication Radios, RMS, SATCOM, ACARS, ADS-B/C, CPDLC, Transponders, TCAS, TAWS, WXR, SVS, Audio Systems.Assets include relevant Flight Deck experience and knowledge.Familiar with fixed wing and/or rotary cockpit environments.Good knowledge of civil and/or military specification standards and practices: ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178 (or equivalent), DO-254, DO-297.Experience with ARINC 653 and/or ARINC 661 standards is highly desirable.Knowledge of avionics databus: ARINC 429, TTA, ARINC 664 AFDX, MIL-STD 1553 or others.Working knowledge of FAA TSO, FARs, AC and STC regulations and procedures.Certification PART 23/25 related experiences.Working Status of US Resident, Permanent Resident or Green Card Holder is acceptable

 

Compensation Packages

$90,000 - $120,000 plus bonus, benefit and relocation package.
