Primary Responsibilities: The Senior IP Paralegal serves as an Intellectual Property paralegal, supporting several attorneys and multiple business units. Primary functions will be in Waltham MA; however position will be providing support across all IP sites in conjunction with the Operations team. Role will be to support Patent and Trademark functions through prosecution, utilization of Intellectual Property Asset Management systems (report generation and analysis), IP metrics and project management. Duties will include assisting with prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents, licensing (tracking and reporting of contracts and royalties), government reporting, on-line patent and trademark searching, maintenance and reporting of patent metrics, preparation of cost/revenue reports and various projects. Position will work with outside counsel, inventors, in-house attorneys, paralegals and administrative personnel. Qualifications: · Bachelors degree in law, business, or finance or equivalent experience · 4-6 years’ experience as a paralegal or legal assistant or equivalent professional experience · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel) · Strong experience with various intellectual property databases and search engines (CPI, Foundation IP, Dialog, Micropatent, USPTO website, etc) · Strong knowledge of USPTO, PCT, and foreign rules and procedures · Knowledge of government contracting preferred · Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple assignments with limited oversight · Strong sense of job ownership · Must be a team player and detail oriented Desirable Skill and Experience: · Paralegal or Legal Assistant Certification Raytheon is proud to offer a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
