Collaborate in preliminary and advanced design studies and prepare portions of engineering proposals. Conceive and develop solutions to analytical, design, and test problems that program(s) experience. Aid in establishing systems philosophy and design objectives. Analyze and resolve failures in test and service, sometimes without recourse to intense theoretical studies and test programs. Assure continuity of design features from advanced design through contract completion. Write major portions of complex specifications and engineering reports as a result of advance studies, special engineering investigations, and similar activities. Develop aspects of new theory and design criteria for general application. May lead subsystem design team within project to include technical, cost and schedule responsibility for assigned subsystem. Required Qualifications:Minimum BSME/AE. 10-15 years of related experience required. TS/SCI Clearance Required.Candidate Must Have Experience in the Following Skills:- Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office- Experience with Thermal analysis of spacecraft- Experience with SINDA- TS/SCI Clearance requiredOther Preferred Qualifications:Experience with TRASYS and Thermal Desktop preferred. Able to perform thermal design analyses of LEO, GEO and subsystems. Specify thermal control hardware. Ability to develop thermal test requirements. Support thermal tests and thermal model correlation. Support launch and early mission ops.
