Senior Program Scheduler

EMS Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Planner/Scheduler for our Defense & Space Systems division. This division develops advanced technology hardware for military and space applications, including providing commercial and military customers with critical subsystems and components for terrestrial, airborne and space-based communication, radar and electronic warfare systems.

 

This person will have a proven track record of providing Defense program management administration support, to participate in a wide range of proposal and program efforts.  The successful candidate will interface with senior program managers, technical leads, control account managers and Operations representatives, and must have the strong verbal and written skills necessary to successfully communicate with and among these groups. 

 

Job Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of experience in scheduling systems to include schedule planning, schedule development, and schedule analysis.  Candidate must have schedule planning and development experience using Microsoft Project©.  Candidate must have understanding of Earned Value Management and fundamentals of Enterprise Resource Planning, as well as Microsoft Office tools (Excel©, Word©, Powerpoint©, Access©).  A bachelor’s degree is desired; but may be exchanged additional years of experience.  Candidate must have experience developing, integrating, and maintaining complete project plans, master program and detailed level schedules which meet or exceed program objectives.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are strongly desired, as well as the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment.  Ability to obtain security clearance is required.  Currently active clearance is preferred.

 

Scheduling responsibilities include:  Development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Microsoft Project©, taking advantage of various views, filters, and reports to improve scheduling resultsIntegration of multiple schedules for all phases of program from proposal through development and transition to production. Integration of MS Project© Schedules and Status Data with ERP/MRP Systems, Earned Value Management Tools, and Estimating/Pricing/Basis-of-Estimate ToolsReviewing, comparing, and analyzing schedule performance against baseline program plans.Analyzing schedule with the ability to identify and make recommendations to ensure completeness, while minimizing risks, and promoting processes to help ensure schedule viability and usefulness to the customer and Program Management, including discovery and tracking of critical paths for material, engineering, and production decision-making.  Collaboration with program managers to derive and create metrics for process improvement.  Forecasting performance and performing risk analysis of schedules, and providing management with an understanding of the current schedule, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to ensure future performance.

 

Program Lifecycle ParticipationProposal preparation.  Build and maintain original Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), based RFPs and Program Plans.  Integrate plans with program WBS, BOEs, technical and management proposal Volumes.  Link and reconcile schedules Subcontract & Material plans.Program Baseline Creation.  Integrate and reconcile program schedules to create an integrated program baseline, including links to EVMS, ERP, Subcontractor Schedules, financial events (e.g. billings), and Risk Management plans.Development program schedule management.  Track and report progress (through both IMS status and EVMS systems) and present status to both management and customers.  Participate in schedule risk assessment, contingency planning, and program change planning.Production program schedule management.  Using ERP/CRP tools, track and report schedule status on production programs.  Develop remedial and workaround schedule recovery plans, as necessary.

 

This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
