Senior Project Engineer #08100

Moog’s Aircraft Group is currently searching for a Senior Project Engineer #08100. Duties/Responsibilities:This position is responsible for development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, hydromechanical and electropneumatic components and systems that will become the new products of Moog, Inc. He/she is the primary contributor to the analysis, conceptual design, development and testing of complex control hardware. In the early stages of a new program, the Senior Project Engineer will consult with the customer, establish the problem statement, conceive of potential hardware solutions to the problem, and create a successful technical proposal. During the design and development phase, the Sr. Project Engineer will guide the evolution of the conceptual design and serve as focal point for customer communications. He/She is responsible for technical project planning and for development testing. His/Her primary concern is for system or component performance and integration, so he/she will initiate or carry out whatever analysis tasks are necessary to ensure specification performance compliance.Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; an advanced degree a plus. Experience in design, analysis and development of complex systems, with a proven record of successful development programs working as part of (or leading) a project team.Skills/Knowledge: A depth of understanding achieved through education and experience in the design, analysis and development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical or electropneumatic servomechanisms. In addition, he/she must have a proven record of successful development programs working as part of a project team. Since this individual will often be seen by customers as the responsible technical representative of Moog Inc, he/she must be able to communicate fluently to a wide variety of audiences. He/She will frequently be required to organize and make presentations to customers.Other: Frequent travel.
