Senior Project Engineer

Dallas, TX area needs a Sr. Project Engineer.  The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for the execution of large capital projects, project engineering efforts in support of process improvement and process development activities, and the development of corporate equipment engineering standards.  The Proj. Eng. is responsible for the management of major expansion and modifications of manufacturing process equipment.  This includes equipment specification, mechanical design, project definition, management, and execution of projects for major production processing lines, testing equipment, and production facilities.  This person will be required to supervise and manage internal and external resources including engineering, mechanical, electrical and general contractor companies, as necessary to complete project work.  The Proj. Eng. is required to develop, write, maintain, and deploy company equipment engineering standards. 

 

The engineer MUST have a minimum of a BS in engineering with a preferred degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering.  Person must be able to prioritize MULTIPLE projects.  Must have a demonstrated history of successful project management.  Must be able to lead problem solving teams.  MUST be able to define capital projects including scope, expected results, determination of costs, and completion of all paper work.  Upon arrival, must be able to MANAGE a capital project including the schedule, the interaction between manufacturing and planning, the costs, and all necessary updates as requied. 

 

Some travel and some work outside normal working hours required. 

 

Would like 7-10 years experience in project management to demonstrate considerable experience in the successful execution and completion of projects.

 

Must have demonstrated history in the development of specs. for mechanical equipment to support the job requirement of initiating new corporate machine standards. 

 

Must have experience in the execution of projects requiring the implementation of new or replacement mechanical systems, manufactuirng lines, and/or facility infrastructure equipment. 

 

Must have leadership skills to provide project leadership across multiple sites and functional groups. 

 

Must have STRONG technical writing skills. 

 

Education: MUST HAVE A BS IN ENGINEERING.
