Software Quality Assurance Engineer III

 

STS International, a leading systems engineering and integration firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to lead QA efforts in our Falls Church, VA office. 

 

Primary responsibilities will include: Managing and leading QA testing efforts, to include both software and hardware testing. Working with development teams to ensure that proper configuration, software, and hardware are ready and functional prior to testing.Create and maintain test plans, conduct system tests, and document software defects.Develop technical documentation for QA activities and work to improve software development and testing processes.

 

Interested candidates should have a minimum of six years of quality assurance experience on complex information technology projects, to include at least 4 years of software QA experience.  Candidates should have knowledge of quality assurance methodology and best practices, as well as competency with C and C++.  Experience must include setting up and configuring hardware and software test environments.  Experience with Rational Test Suite is also required.

 

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field is required for this position (four years of additional related professional experience can be substituted for this requirement.)  Some travel (up to 25%) may be required.
