Senior Techician

Responsible for working with engineers to assemble, test, debug and qualify products.

 

Responsibilities:Work with engineers on new product designs and changes to existing products.Assemble prototypes boards, test cables, assemblies and build test fixtures.Debug circuit boards and assemblies to component level.Perform qualification tests for avionics products.Environmental and EMI testing.Organize and prepare test data for the test reports.Learn and follow company policy and ISO 9001 procedures.Work as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing to transition new designs and changes into production.Write test procedures and develop test fixtures.Maintain the engineering lab.

 

Education and Skill Requirements:AA degree or equivalent3 - 5 years experience bread-boarding and testing circuit boards and electronic hardware.A strong background in basic electronic circuits; digital and analog circuits.Ability to troubleshoot circuits to the component level using standard test equipment.Able to use ORCAD 9 a must; PADS a plus.Mechanical agility for building up of prototype boards and systems.Self motivated with the ability to complete tasks with minimum instructions.Understand Bill of Materials and Engineering Change Orders.Must be detail oriented and possess excellent communication, organization  and interpersonal skills.Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
