Training will be given to formal course students, permanent party aircrew and UAS operational support personnel to accomplish required event objectives and specific event tasks. Academic instruction will include platform academic instruction, remedial training and monitoring of computer-based and self-paced instruction periods. Academic Instruction Specific Tasks. The Sensor Operator Instructor will perform academic instruction using instructor guides to accomplish required lesson tasks. The Sensor Operator Instructor will perform the following tasks: - Prepare classroom for instruction. - Issue any lesson-related student materials. This does not include individual student publications distributed by Government personnel, such as, any operational Technical Order (T.O.), Air Force Handbook (AFH), Air Force Instruction (AFI) and/or local instructions. - Perform academic instruction as required by the applicable syllabi or training plans. - Monitor self-paced and computer-based instruction to provide academic instruction as required. The contractor will be responsible for the proper use of the equipment in the Learning Center and will report any equipment problems to the Training Quality Assurance Personnel (TQAP). - Provide make-up instruction of academic lessons to students who have missed class or have failed an examination. - Provide remedial student training. Remedial training will be in accordance with the appropriate syllabus or training plan. Remediation will be scheduled by the contractor and coordinated with the TQAP. Remedial training will be scheduled to allow continued normal progression in the syllabus or training plan. - Coordinate and conduct aircraft preflight training required to support the syllabi. - Review desired learning objectives with students in preparation for examinations/evaluations. - Administer and score examinations. The minimum passing score will be as directed by the syllabi and local directives. All examinations will be debriefed to one hundred percent (100%). - Accomplish trend analysis and evaluation as described in AFM 36-2234 and AFH 36-2235, Volume 2. Analyze all examination results for trends toward faulty questions and deficient instruction. Analysis results will be documented in the Training Evaluation Report (Refer to SOW Attachment 11). - Develop, review, and provide comparative analysis (based on available data) for end-of-phase and end-of-course critiques of academic instruction. Provide critiques to Air Force representative for review and approval. Provide analysis, in desired format, to Air Force representative. Provide Critique for each class, and deliver to Air Force Representative. - When required, serve as a flight evaluation board or mishap (i.e., safety and/or accident) investigation board witness. - Manage academic programs (i.e., configuration control) to comply with AFRs, AFIs and other publications listed in Appendix 3 of this SOW. - Maintain continuity folders for each area of responsibility (i.e., Site Manager, Courseware Manager, Instructors/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Simulation, Training, Scheduling and Administration), which may be periodically inspected by the Courseware QAP (CWQAP). - Maintain production folders for each course taught, which may be periodically inspected by the CWQAP. - Maintain audiovisual library, of electronic video and audio files, films, tapes and lesson courseware. This includes as a minimum, posting changes and maintaining the master lesson courseware (approved contractor produced courseware only) for all syllabus and CT-required lessons (including Air Force taught lessons). The library of electronic media will be maintained on a unit file server and files will be accessible, searchable and organized via a web browser interface. - Manage, maintain, configure and control academic equipment (i.e., projectors, televisions, computer learning stations). If applicable, this includes uploading of Computer-Based Training (CBT). It is the responsibility of the contractor to maintain positive control of the equipment and ensure that the equipment remains in the assigned room. Academic equipment will be designated in writing by the squadron. - Maintain reference material used in support of academic courseware. This includes any T.O., reference notes, publications, etc. The library of electronic reference material will be maintained on a unit file server and files will be accessible, searchable and organized via a web browser interface. - Develop and maintain Training Tasks List (TTL) for UAS aircrew training (see Attachment 9). - Provide all student deliverables including all courseware related material and tactical publications. Production costs will be directly paid by the government.2. Training Device Instruction Specific Tasks. The Sensor Operator Instructor will perform training device missions/events using event instructor guides to accomplish required event tasks and objectives. The Sensor Operator Instructor will perform the following tasks: - Review each applicable student's grade book prior to brief. - Thoroughly prepare students to perform the scheduled event. - In accordance with the approved simulator instructor/mission pre-briefing guide, conduct a thorough event pre-brief for all training device events. All syllabus required items will be covered. - Address 100% of all required items in the simulator instructor/mission briefing guide within the allotted briefing time period. - Accomplish 100% of the specified event tasks during the training device period, unless lack of student progress or maintenance problems will not allow completion. Non-effective training device events will be rescheduled. - Instruct students in such a manner that with normal student progression the end-of-course level of proficiency will be met by the end of the academic phase. - Critique students verbally on all errors committed during the course of the training. - Instruct students in techniques and corrective procedures to help students avoid repetition of errors. - Fill out log to document any problems with Predator Mission Aircrew Training System (PMATS). - Complete all appropriate administrative paperwork (781, TAR, etc.) - IAW the approved debriefing guide, conduct a thorough event debrief for all training device events. All syllabus required items will be covered. - Record student performance on individual event grade sheets IAW ACCI 11-464. End-of-course minimum standards are listed in the applicable formal course syllabi.
