That's why we're here. Service Center Systems Engineer 3 (FT) Position Description US person status required. Member of 40+ person project team developing multi-tiered, web-based collection planning and analysis software for U.S. government. Provide system engineering knowledge and basic UNIX skills to include command line functions and the ability to read and interpret UNIX scripts in support of a 3 to 4 member Support Center team. DOMAIN knowledge desirable. Must be a self starter with the ability to multi-task. Work independently with minimum direct supervision to complete assigned tasks. Customer interaction is required to solve UNIX and DOMAIN type problems. Must be willing to be on call to support customer requirements. Required to share 24/7 pager support and occasionally be called in after hours. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be technically inclined, quick learner, and team oriented. Complete knowledge of system health architectural concepts and design considerations for vehicles and systems of systems. Complete ability to establish requirements, and translate requirements into hardware and software for health management functionality. Complete ability to assess the effectiveness of system health technologies. Education and/or Experience Requires educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and typically 5 to 8 years' experience in an engineering classification or educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and either a Master's degree with 3 to 6 years' experience or a PhD degree with 0 to 3 years' experience in an engineering classification.
