Simulation/Game Application Software Team Lead

 

•5 years minimum experience in the gaming industry and/or simulation industry

•Bachelors degree or greater from an accredited college or university

•Complete understanding of the software and simulation/game development cycle

•Hands-on development experience in multiple commercial 3D game engines and their toolsets

•Knowledgeable of any unique development and support requirements associated with the serious game genre

•Experience as a lead developer, designer, and/or director of commercial gaming projects

•Excellent technical writing, presentation, and communication skills

•Experience in drafting design and technical documents

•Experience with project management applications, such as: Microsoft Office, source control suites, bug tracking software

•Ability to quickly understand, use, and train others to use custom toolsets

•Ability to test, tune, and refine simulation/gaming software

•Strong project management and leadership skills

•Effective time management and organization skills

•Ability to effectively work and lead team across disciplines and achieve consistent quality results

•Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills

•Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

 

Desired experience:

•Experience with Torque Game Engine technologies: TGE, TGEA, TGB

•Experience in C, C++

•Experience in structuring missions to meet storyline/design requirements

•Current security clearance

•Distance Learning/web-based training experience

•DIS/HLA gateway/translator experience

•Significant knowledge of military training and C2 systems

•Knowledge of First responder and/or Emergency Operations Center processes

•Experience in flowcharting

•Experience in scripting
