In this position, you will: Assist in defining the specification and requirements for a complex project that requires integration of engine performance and vehicle interface settings. Work with and integrate input from representatives of base engine, engine performance and emissions, engine application engineering, and vehicle engineering and electronics groups. Assist with defining and executing product verification and validation (PV&V) plans to insure that the application software meets or exceeds program objectives. Be responsible for design, development, and implementation of complex new software features to provide improved performance and functionality of new John Deere products. Seek innovative ways to commonize and use existing software features to meet project requirements. Serve as a technical resource for less-experienced members of the team in terms of our software design, development, delivery, and release processes. Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science. Required Skills and Experience High degree of demonstrated proficiency with embedded software development and analysis tools. 3 or more years of industry experience in electronic engine controls, heavy-duty vehicle controls, or related industries. Product verification and validation (PV&V) experience including test planning and execution.
