Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer will carry out engineering assignments to develop, verify and validate software for scoring systems.  Will also perform software design/analysis under the direction of project leads and participate in the assigned software subsystem activities from requirements through system integration and test phase.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

·  3+ years experience developing software including performing requirement, design, and test activities throughout the development cycle as well as documentation, test plans and procedures, trade studies and risk analysis.

·  Experience in system integration and customer deployment and support as well as creating release materials such as installations.

·  Familiarity with 3-D technologies such as OPEN GL for designing graphical animations to provide post mission playbacks.

·  strong oral and written communication skills

 

Training requirements:

 

·  In-depth understanding of object oriented design methodology, .NET framework, multi-threading, and TCP/IP networking. 

·  Proficient in C, C++ and experience using Microsoft Visual Studio development suite.

·  Knowledge base of Microsoft Visual C++ with MFC and ADO

 

 

Must be eligible to obtain DoD Security Clearance and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

 

Education: BS-Computer Science Required.

Professional and/or technical certifications a plus.

 

Computer skills:  Microsoft Office required.

Knowledge of VISIO, Perforce and Visual Source Safe required.
