Software Engineer (Java)

On-site development for an integrated solution consisting of MS SharePoint Office Server (MOSS) 2007, SQL Server 2005, Google Search Appliance, VMWare, BEA WebLogic and Oracle 10g. The engineer would be responsible for the following:
Maintenance of existing software capability
Rapid development of new capability
Customizing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server portal
Developing new capabilities within Microsoft Office SharePoint Server portal
Troubleshooting issues
Providing training on system functionality
Working with user community to define requirements for new capabilities and then implementing the solution
Analyze new technologies and integrate into existing systems
Provide technical guidance to customers and team members
Develop new capabilities utilizing Google Search
Develop data adapters using J2EE and the BEA WebLogic platform

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent, with relevant work experience. A degree in computer science or related field is desirable;
Minimum of TS/SCI Security clearance required with the TS being adjudicated within the last 4 years;
Must be able to leverage advanced sills with BEA WebLogic and demonstrate proficiency with J2EE to assist with ongoing development / enhancement of our enterprise BEA WebLogic implementation;
At least one year of experience with a combination of the following is required: VB.NET, ASP.NETSQL Server C#, .Net Framework, J2EE and XML/XSL features.

Desired Qualifications:
Advanced skills with the administration and design of SharePoint Portal 2007, including security, site structure, portal structure, and server and content databases;
Intermediate database administration skills, including database creation, security, replication, performance tuning, and best-practices for maintenance;
Experience with SharePoint designer
Experience with Oracle 10g
Experience with SQL Server 2005
Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server 2003
Basic knowledge of Window Server Administration
Knowledge and experience with Oracle and BEA WebLogic
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Must be a self starter with good organizational and analytical skills with solid ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
MCSE or MCP a plus.
Java Certifications a plus
