Quality Assurance Engineer

 Job Summary:

 

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is a key member of the Engineering team and will develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development of software.

 

Job Duties:

 Plans and executes software quality assurance activities for assigned projects, including the creation of Software Quality Assurance Plans (SQAPs)Participate in project planning and software design/development activitiesReviews project documentation and work products for compliance to internal standards and criteriaMonitors project compliance in accordance with project plansPerforms design control evaluationsMonitors corrective actions/action items to closureIs the chair of the Change Review Board (CRB), and is expected to provide guidance to project teams to ensure planning and execution of required CRB activities with internal standardsResponsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting selected project metrics and contributing to the improvement of processes and procedures

 Qualifications:

 Knowledge of DO-178B standards, Configuration Management methods experience, and minimum 3 years experience as a Quality Assurance EngineerFamiliarity with Perforce or an equivalent CM/Change Tracking tool desired

 Education:

 A BS degree in Engineering classification or related technical discipline (such as computer science or mathematics)
