Space Systems Operations Analyst

We are looking for a Space Systems Operations Analyst located at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station in Colorado. Security Clearance:  Must have a Top Secret clearance or higher to be considered. Position Description: Function as a SSA, Cave Net/ASW subject matter expert/assistant test manager responsible to provide non-personal operations support and technical expertise to the 17 TS, in all aspects of test screening, test planning, test execution, and test reporting. The 17 TS conducts force development evaluations, command-directed testing and tactics and concepts validation of aerospace warning forces in support of HQ AFSPC and the SIDC. The scope of the test and evaluations conducted by the 17 TS includes but is not limited to determining operational effectiveness and suitability for net-centric systems; determining reliability, maintainability, and availability of these systems; assessing human factors; and evaluating software maintainability and usability. Individual provides support in accordance with 17 TS procedures and Air Force Standards. Duties include: supporting the development of test measures in the form of Critical Operational Issues, Operational Capabilities, Measures of Effectiveness, Measures of Suitability and Measures of Performance; supporting the development of test methodologies for each measure with the purpose of performing statistical analysis to evaluate current and future system performance; providing technical assessments on the maturity of the software to enter FDE; accomplishing technical assessments on capability of hardware and networks to accomplish required mission needs; assisting in the development and coordination of test planning documents, data management analysis plan, test planning briefings, analysis review committee briefings, test team charters, and memorandums of agreement; supporting test execution and analyzing the resultant test data; and assisting in the development and coordination of test reporting documents and test report briefings.   Required: The candidate shall have demonstrated expertise in the network operations utilized for Space Situational Awareness or Cave Net/ASW. In addition, the candidate shall have an overall knowledge of the space warning mission. Good communication skills required. Proficient in Microsoft and PC-based COTS software applications to include but not limited to: PowerPoint, Word, Access and Excel.  Desired: Computer science degree with emphasis in network based solutions. Training with AFI 99-103 and AFSPCI 99-101 methodology and application desired.
