Professional must be able to provide strategic thinking and vision with the ability to anticipate actions to be taken and provide solutions to emergent taskers.  Must have in depth knowledge and experience with operating in a political/military environment.  Must be able to interface with congressional level, general officer, and other VIP level personnel and their staffs

 

Candidate will lead 3-person Commanders Action Group (CAG) branch and will proactively handles Wing issues with minimal direct guidance by understanding current issues and participating proactively towards their resolution: identifying stakeholders, gathering the facts, defining necessary tasks, and creating an "80% solution" for Senior staff approval.  The CAG (1) is the first-line interface with external organizations (SMC General Officers / HQ AF / USecAF / OSD / national agencies / Congress): providing response to issues, quieries, tasking, etc., managing action items, and developing background materials; (2) provides staff support to SYSW/CC, SYSW/CV, and Group Commanders; (3)  provides responsive staff assistance to SYSW O6s (Wing and Group CCs); (4) prepares Wing Commander's program management reviews/ briefs/ speeches/ articles and provide administrative support; (5) prepares Wing Monthly Activity Reports; gathers data from SYSW/PC et. al .and authors reports; and (6) performs other tasks as required.

 

Candidate will be located on-site with customer working as part of the customer team.  Candidate must be able to work with little guidance and will be responsible for coordinating and performing a wide variety of program support activities including briefing/presentation development and coordination.  Candidate will prepare customer monthly activity reports to be provided to management.  Candidate will also be responsible for such things as public affairs media queries, program portfolio reviews, graphics support, updating the director's "Brain book", and serve as the office information manager.

 

Candidate will interface with executive level military leadership and must know proper military protocol.  Candidate must be well versed in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and be comfortable with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer).  The ideal candidate will have some understanding of the Air Force acquisition cycle.

 Education:  B.S. preferred. Required skills: 5-10 years experience, includes the following:  ability to function in a multi-contractor/ customer environment, performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected; demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills; and effective written and oral communication skills required.  Travel is not required.
