Description of Work: Position: Specialty Engineer - Human Factors Engineering & Safety Engineering.Work as a Specialty Engineer supporting the Lead System Engineer, Project Engineer and others in Systems/Subsystems groups adding new capabilities to the Abram's Tank System. Responsible for overall integration of new concepts with primary emphasis on Human Factors Engineering (HFE), Safety, Man-Machine interface as well as physical integration of new components sub systems into the parent vehicle/s.Perform hazard analysis of systems (Conceptual, developmental, fielded) to ensure an acceptable level of safety is implemented in the design and throughout the life cycle of all GDLS products.Prepare and interpret System Safety Design Requirements. Work with Design and Development Engineers to accomplish system safety design requirements.Prepare Safety Assessment Reports to document the safety evaluation and risk assumed prior to operation/test of a system.Investigate and prepare Fire and Accident Reports and Notices on GDLS produced vehicles.Job Requirements: Interpersonal/Social skills Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Systems Engineering. Significant prototype shop or manufacturing experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. 1 - 15 Years of related experience.
