This position will provide spectrum management support to the Strategic Planning Office within the Defense Spectrum Organization (DSO). This position will support DSO in the areas of DOD spectrum management strategic planning and outreach. The position will involve advocating DOD positions on spectrum issues both nationally and internationally, and supporting DOD national/international technical and technology outreach efforts. It will also include paricipating in NTIA and FCC forums and committees, ITU working groups, and other national/international forums, such as NATO in order to promulgate DOD spectrum policy and objectives.Candidate must have strong communication skills, ability to work well on diverse teams, capability of researching, analyzing, and developing plans and policy. Candidate must be able to generate professional documentation such as analytical studies and DOD style presentations, provide oral presentations to DOD managers and external organizations. Knowledge of DOD spectrum dependent systems such as ground/shipborne/airborne radar systems, fixed and mobile satellite systems, navigation systems, and communications systems is desired. Experience working on with DOD programs, and military experience is also desired. Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 5-8 years Successful candidates will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
