The Sr. Computer Network Technologist I performs enterprise management, and network services and troubleshooting engineering functions, without appreciable direction, to provide deployment and integration support complex enterprise management and services hardware and software products. Contributes to technical principles and concepts, and will be relied upon for sound judgment and consultation during the development of Enterprise Management and Services solutions based on a range of vendor hardware and software suites to include CiscoWorks, Lucent VitalQIP, Network General, and Computer Associates Network Performance and Fault Management software suite. Provides maintenance and operational support for complex enterprise services and management tools. Supports the organization during the integration of new enterprise management and services systems with complex capabilities into the site infrastructure. Will interact with senior level personnel on significant technical and architectural matters. Will interface with leadership team and customers. This can include authoring and presenting/briefing technical solutions. May require limited travel and occasional overtime or modified duty hours. Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical subject, or equivalent technical experience, plus four or more years of applicable work experience. Requires three or more years experience in the implementation and/or administration of Enterprise Network Management products. Must have one or more years working experience with the UNIX platform gained through system administration, software engineering, network management, or a related function. Must be willing to travel (on a limited basis). Must be willing to work occasional overtime and/or modified duty hours. Requires U.S. Citizenship Requires ability to satisfy requirements for a Top Secret SCI SSBI security clearance. A life-style polygraph may be required for this position. Must be willing to undergo a life-style polygraph to attain additional clearance levels. Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge: A current and active Top Secret SCI SSBI security clearance is a significant advantage. Administration and./or deployment of Computer Associates Network Performance and Fault Management software suite, HP-OpenView, CiscoWorks, and Lucent VitalQIP. .
