Sr. Cyber Security Analyst

LOCATION: WASHINGTON, DC 20001 Job Description: Write, review and edit cyber security policies and related security documents; prepare security targets, providing highly specialized technical interface with operational units; facilitate the process whereby security documents are prepared, reviewed, concurred, and signed; assist with cyber security surge requirements to support the enterprise as needed. Maintain information assurance within a site and across a multi-site enterprise. Specific responsibilities include: -Translate SME knowledge into appropriate cyber security policies and implementation plans, repeatable processes and incident management procedures to ensure the security of the enterprise. -Contribute to development of enterprise security architecture. -Work at the highest level of policy development to create an enterprise-wide approach to security, yet able to analyze its real-time application and hurdles to implementation at the lowest/site level. -Evaluate current and leading-edge cyber security tools and capabilities for appropriateness in Federal government environment. Required Skills: BS Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience) and 8+ years as an information assurance/cyber security subject matter expert (SME) within a Federal government environment. -Must be able to develop enterprise security architecture. -Knowledge of the certification and accreditation (C&A) process is critical. -Must have a technical background and in-depth knowledge of cyber security, policies, procedures, operations and cutting-edge technologies. -Knowledge and experience with FISMA analysis and reporting is essential. -Must be able to work in a team environment, understanding and respecting "political" and "turf" considerations. -Must be an independent-thinker, willing to speak up and analyze the flaws or pitfalls in a given situation or approach, with professionalism. -Must participate in regular travel (20%) to CONUS field sites. -Qualified applicants may be subject to a background investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required. Qualified applicants must currently hold an active Top Secret or Q security clearance. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills are needed. Desired Skills : Working knowledge and experience with network security is highly desirable. Experience with development and implementation of security policies is highly desirable. Multiple years of network engineering or network administration, including hands-on cyber security experience with various tools and techniques is ideal. Knowledge of Microsoft Project is helpful.
