Sr. DMS Engineer I

LOCATION: FALLS CHURCH, VA 22040 Job Description: In this position, you will lead all DMS activities for the ground segment of the Global Hawk Unmanned Aerial Vehicle program. Activities involve the identification, reporting and resolution of DMS issues. The objective is to eliminate or reduce risks that are caused by diminishing supplies and obsolescence of COTS-based DMS items enabling procurements for new production, spares and replenishment equipment. The DMS Lead is responsible for the development of quarterly reports, trade studies, white papers, mitigation strategies, database management, researching COTS DMS status, engineering change proposals, and presenting status at quarterly Program Management Reviews. Daily interface with the prime contractor, customers, and internal program managers and supply chain representatives is essential. Required Skills: Management of the DMS process. Technical coordination within engineering, program managers and customers. Good communication, problem solving and presentation skills. Desired Skills: Database development, maintenance and management. Required Education(including Major): Bachelors of Science degree in an engineering discipline; preferably EE or ME.
