Sr Manager-Business Development Operations
Description:The Senior Manager of Tactical Sensing Business Development (TSS SBDM) will provide strategy, new business development and execution to the Sensing and Imagery Systems (SIS) LOB. The Tactical Sensing SBDM is required to identify and win new business meeting the established business growth goals. He/she is expected to operate on integrated teams with the stakeholders, leadership and program managers in the identification of business opportunities and driving business capture teams. Duties include the development of a domain area business acquisition plans, sales, bid and proposal resource management and strategic marketing activities. The Tactical Sensing SBDM will advise the Director, SIS Business Development, and the LOB VP on growth strategies, marketing, and management of resources for future program procurements. SIS specializes in the development and deployment of advanced sensing systems, i.e. EO/IR/SAR/HSI/PI and other IMINT phenomenology, and their operational support for the DoD and Intelligence Community.Responsibilities: - Provides strategic direction and business development guidance in support of tactical systems business- Develops, maintains and executes business plans for new opportunities and their capture- Maintain strong customer contact and intimacy with key customer offices, such Office Secretary of Defense/Intelligence, Air Combat Command, the Reconnaissance SPO, Air Force/Army/Navy/Marine Corp program offices, National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).- Conceive of new offerings and build business plans accordingly- Qualify opportunities, and keep the business funnel healthy- Participates in IRAD planning and execution in order to improve strategic positioning and foster business growth- Maintains customer relations, strategic alliances and internal GD associations based on the strategic plan direction - Provides management and oversight of tactical systems orders and New Business Funds (NBF) for Sell and Bid and Proposal (B&P) - Develops and maintains the orders forecast - Manages the allocation of Sell and B&P to the pursuit of specific opportunities and growth areas within designated budgets- Identifies and develops new business opportunities within the tactical sensing strategic business objectives of LOB and the division - Responsible for taking new opportunities to the Pursuit Review for consideration by leadership.- Manages and coordinates with Capture Managers working opportunities within customer set to maximize impact of customer relationship - Leads participation in marketing conferences, shows and symposiums- Will be required to regularly interact with industry partners at the director and vice president level to ensure successful collaboration and teaming.- Will be required to regularly interact with the customer organizations at the Colonel (O-6), General Officer and Senior Executive Service levels.TSSCIQualifications:Bachelors Degree or equivalentMinimum of six years of related management experience or demonstrated effectiveness to meet the managerial expectations.- Will be required to regularly interact with General Dynamics senior management or executive levels during Senior Review Groups, Formal Management Reviews, and control gate reviews on critical business pursuits involving multiple functional areas, divisions, and/or customersSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Dayton, OHJob Number: RUSAGDES129-594879Company URL: http://www.gd-ais.comCompany Profile:General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems is one of the most visionary companies in the world.
