Job Description Lead and coordinate implementation of design for manufacturability, assist with supplier development and issues, monitor and maintain Manufacturing Engineering budget for assigned program, assist with proposal writing for department on new business, troubleshoot manufacturing problems and develop solutions, coordinate support from other functions: Production Control, Quality, Reliability, Tooling, Process & Equipment support, maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), work with technicians to build product, create and maintain Mfg documentation & communicate issues and progress with factory management team. Required Skills: -Minimum of 6 years of professional engineering experience. -Able to work independently (self-directed) and direct other supporting engineers. -Ability to influence technical composition of engineering drawings and specifications. -Possess extensive technical expertise and mechanical aptitude with precision assemblies. -Ability to work closely with technicians to troubleshoot and resolve difficult manufacturing problems in a fast paced manufacturing environment Desired Skills: -Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly processes: soldering, brazing, adhesive bonding, welding, and precision mechanical assembly & metrology. -Must be able to effectively communicate across functional departments, as well as with external customers and suppliers. -Responsible for decisive, clear decisions to achieve major organizational objectives. Required Education(including Major): Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.
