BS degree required, advanced degree preferred  in Mechanical, Civil, or Materials Engineering, or other structural engineering disciplines.  Experience in dynamic shock analysis and underwater explosion physics is required. Candidate should be skilled in finite element analysis (FEA), with experience in NASTRAN and LY-DYNA preferred. Experience in DYSMAS and USA (Underwater Shock Analysis) codes is a plus. Experience in managing and leading technical programs desired.Responsibilities Design, develop and analyze large degree-of-freedom finite element models of complex, metallic and composite structures of US Navy ships and submarines for state-of-the-art, high-profile, Navy ship and submarine programs. Analyses performed may include non-linear transient analyses, modal analyses, dynamic analyses, DDAM analyses, non-linear transient analyses, analyses simulating fluid-structure interaction, static analyses. Experience with building finite element (FE) models and knowledge of FE analysis codes (NASTRAN, FEMAP, DYNA). desired. Manage and interact with customers.
