Sr. Mgr, Manufacturing Engineering

Process Engineering Manager for Emerging Business (EB).  This is a new position and group at Launch Systems and can be located at either Bacchus or Promontory.  The group will be responsible for providing Process Engineering support for the Emerging Business group. The successful applicant  will be responsible for mentoring, over-seeing, reviewing and coordinating the Process Engineers supporting EB.  The manager will establish and maintain the process to be used for EB development (methods and disciplines), including change control.  That process should follow the Engineering Standards and will be responsive to the needs (timely, cost conscious, rate conscious and requirements based).  The successful applicant will also be responsible for budgets and personnel issues for the group. Must have a BS degree in Engineering from an accredited university.  Two years minimum Process Engineering or Process Development background / experience.  Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering.  Two years of Leadership experience.  Process Engineering or Process Development background /experience (both is a plus) Experience with high rate production is a plus.  Leadership experience; successful conflict resolution, technical leadership ability, mentoring.  Communication skills, ability to write and review reports, presentations and planning; presentation experience; good oral communication skills.  Self motivated, high work ethic, high sense of ownership.  Product Design, Configuration Management and MRB experience.  Ability to relate with others such as operations, customers, management, maintenance (interpersonal skills).  Facility and/or process start-up experience; understanding of process controls and how to implement.  Ability to create systems and processes which are changed to capture lessons learned.  This position may be filled at a lower salary and grade level depending upon qualifications and experience.
