Sr Mgr QA Engineering
Business Area Quality Manager (BAQM) responsible for the overall quality processes and compliance for SAS’s Advanced Products Center (APC) including cost, schedule and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the execution of all Quality tasks from initial business strategy and planning, design/development, production and deployment, and product support for all Advanced Products Center Customer Business Area Programs (INI, SAS, MS, Advanced Programs). The BAQM will maintain and monitor effectiveness of the Quality Management System. He/she will affect Quality policy and processes and influence all decisions affecting Quality with a focus on defect prevention and risk management. The BAQM will have overall responsibility for all APC Customer Business Area programs providing quality process, quality reporting, risk management, SAS IPDS processes, and SAS Common Process guidance to each of the APC Customer Business Area Quality Managers. The BAQM will represent APC as a member of the SAS Quality Director’s Leadership Team and represent the APC Quality Organization on the APC Operations LT. This position will report directly to the SAS Quality Director. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math or a physical Science and 12+ years of related experience. Experience to include all of the following: - Must have a working knowledge of fundamental of Quality, Quality Engineering principles, and Quality Management Systems. - Existing Secret security clearance. - Adept at communicating with all levels within and outside the company. - Able to prepare and deliver presentations/summaries (both verbal and written) which appropriately address the intended audience. - Able to influence, direct, lead and monitor the activities of personnel who are both directly and indirectly assigned. - Possess a basic understanding of contract flow, financial systems, supply chain processes, engineering/IPDS processes, Gating process, and manufacturing processes. Desired Skills: Master’s Degree.
