This position is responsible for the results and effectiveness of the quality management system (establishes, oversees, and coordinates quality policy and practice) for Saint Petersburg as well as leading the Quality organization. It is responsible for engaging engineering disciplines, supply chain, contracts, operations and program leadership in the design, development and transition to production process in support of our Mission Assurance objectives. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with contracts, company standards and applicable government regulations, the quality of materials produced by Saint Petersburg, and for continuously reviewing the quality engineering philosophy, practice, and procedure to ensure they meet the highest standards. Leads the root cause and corrective action process for Saint Petersburg and recommends corrective action where necessary. Participates in the development of new methods, procedures, and systems and must be able to recommend statistical analysis or other problem solving techniques for addressing difficult problems. Be a champion and knowledge resource for continuous improvement within the business. Work with the customer to assure the customer’s quality imposed requirements are adhered to by Saint Petersburg. May also conduct programs designed to improve supplier performance and productivity. This position interfaces with Saint Petersburg program leaders, engineering personal and management as well as the customer, suppliers, and operations and engineering personal in other locations, including participating on the business’ quality engineering leadership team. This position is responsible for keeping the program, engineering, quality management, and the customer aware of issues on programs or with the quality management system. May also provide inputs to proposals and participate in program formal reviews and internal reviews. As the leader of the quality team this individual is responsible for development of the personnel on the quality team. Required Skills: BS degree in Engineering and 12-14 years directly related experience.
