Job Description: The selected candidate will play a key role in the Components Engineering Department as a Senior Obsolescence Management engineer. Through day-to-day interface with multiple electronic part manufacturers, the selected individual must have the ability to establish part technology/maturity and determine current and forecasted availability in accordance with established guidance and standard processes and tools. The individual must have the ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity and lead obsolescence management efforts in a program-centric environment. The selected individual must also be able to work in a team environment, under minimal direction and be able to multi-task on a regular basis. Required Skills: -Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction from management and others in a leadership position on project requests -Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-tasking team environment -Five to seven years technical working knowledge of electronic component parts, e.g., active semiconductor, passive and electromechanical commodities -Demonstrated knowledge of obsolescence management processes and the factors driving component obsolescence -In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and MS Access software -Ability to effectively follow multiple complex processes and tools -A strong willingness to take the initiative in a Product Ownership environment -An Interim Secret clearance will be required in order to start work.
