Sr Multi-Disciplined Eng I - Aerodynamics

Job Description: Sr. Engineer I with expertise in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, wind tunnel testing and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). A Sr. Engineer I is expected to have a wide understanding of aerodynamics and CFD and should also possess a general knowledge of other fields. The applicant will be expected to work under only general direction, independently determine and develop solutions to problems, and in some instances will be expected to lead small projects. Security Clearance: Secret. At a minimum, an Interim Secret clearance will be required in order to start work. Positions at Raytheon may require U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD. Required Skills: Experience in aerodynamics design, wind-tunnel testing, or conceptual vehicle sizing. Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Experience 4-6 years. Desired Skills: Programming experience and familiarity with C/C++, FORTRAN, and Matlab. Expertise with government developed and commercial CFD codes. An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in aerodynamics with a concentration in aerodynamics, CFD, or wind-tunnel testing. Required Education (including Major): Minimum B.S. or equivalent degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aerodynamics or Fluid Mechanics. M.S. or PhD degree preferred but not required.
