The candidate will support the analysis and development of FAA navigation, surveillance and communication systems. Activities include system level analysis and modeling of technical performance measures, system performance, system latency, system capacity and precision. Qualified individuals will have a keen desire to support cutting edge research and development activities as part of a dynamic engineering team. Regularly functions in technical leadership roles and may function in project leadership roles. They will develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. They may be required to act as prime technical contact on contracts and projects. The candidate needs to be able to apply extensive technical expertise in systems engineering with full knowledge of related disciplines. They will participate in development of proposals and product offerings.The successful applicant will have 15 + years experience in communications and/or information system architecture development. Experience in aircraft surveillance systems, navigation and communication is desired. The applicant should have experience in using MATLAB, C,C++. Experience related to wireless communication systems to support development of state-of-the-art communications and signal processing systems including: communications architecture design, modeling, simulation, and analysis applicable to wireless communications systems, strong analytical skills, experience with integration and testing of signal processing algorithms. Candidate will often be a general resource to multiple projects. Understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts related to digital communications. General knowledge of other related disciplines is desired.Successful candidates will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required. BS in engineering or related discipline with a minimum 15 years as systems engineer or in related discipline with or equivalent. MS Preferred in engineering or related discipline with a minimum 12 years as systems engineer or in related discipline with or equivalent.Ph.D. in engineering or related discipline with a minimum 8 years as systems engineer or in related discipline with or equivalent.
