Sr. Principal Elec Engineer - RF system and circuit analysis skills

LOCATION: FORT WAYNE, IN 46801 Raytheon NCS seeks a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer with strong RF system and circuit analysis skills to join our team at the Network Centric Systems (NCS) division located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. This is a position that will have significant influence within the organization and performance in this position will impact project and program performance and success. Creation of this position is contingent upon award of the AMF JTRS System Design and Development contract. The primary duties will be focused on tasks associated with Department of Defense communications systems. The candidate will be expected to apply his or her advanced knowledge of communications systems and electronics to provide creative and innovative solutions to problems and to ensure that tasks and projects are completed on schedule while following established processes and procedures. The Principal RF Engineer will be expected to use advanced modeling and simulation methods to analyze the interaction of multiple transmitters and receivers on overall system performance of next generation airborne and maritime communications systems in the 2 MHz to 2 GHz range. The successful candidate will work with a team of talented and experienced engineers in performing core activities related to the development and analysis of RF systems. Potential tasks include working with program staff to assist with trade studies and definition of hardware system architecture, definition and flow down of system-level requirements to component level requirements and verification that designs comply with requirements. Additional duties may include design and implementation of advanced RF systems and components, oversight and mentoring of less experienced personnel, serving as a resource for review and corrective action teams within the Fort Wayne region and across the NCS organization, and other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS: · Must have a minimum of 10 years RF design engineering experience · Must be able to demonstrate a dvanced ability to design and analyze RF hardware and RF system architectures · Must have experience with Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) or equivalent · Must have a familiarity with antenna and RF propagation analysis tools · Must have experience with general modeling and analytical tools (e.g. MatLab) - Must have the ability to obtain DoD SECRET security clearance REQUIRED EDUCATION: · BSEE or related technical degree Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
