Sr Principal Systems Engr - Integration/Test

LOCATION: MARLBOROUGH, MA 01752 Raytheon Network Centric Systems (NCS), develops and produces mission solutions for networking, command and control, battlespace awareness, and air traffic management and homeland security. Programs include civilian applications, command and control systems, integrated communications systems, and netted sensor systems. NCS is driving transformation in the Information Age by leading Raytheon’s Net Centric Operations Enterprise Priority. This effort unites the core strengths of the company to provide networked systems, net-enabled systems, and net-centric integration to customers worldwide for emerging requirements. The Systems Integration, Test, and Evaluation (SITE) Department provides comprehensive management and critical skill-sets for program verification activities throughout a program's life cycle. This includes management of Integration/Test execution and expertise in the following technologies: EHF/SHF/UHF/LASER communications; Fixed and Wireless Networking; Command-and-Control; Radar; and Security. These technologies are applied to our products in Homeland Security, Air Traffic Management and Communications. Our capabilities include a Tri-Service SATCOM integration facility with extensive communications, environmental and motion testing capabilities. Job Description: The Test Director (TD) is responsible for the execution of all Integration and Verification activities and has cost, schedule, and technical responsibility for the execution of those tasks. The TD is an experienced, senior systems engineer who reports directly to the Program Engineer. The TD is the primary technical interface with the customer on integration and test matters and works with the customer on a daily basis. The TD will lead innovative solutions to integration and product sell-off for SATCOM and Command-and-Control systems. This task includes coordination of all verification related activities, performance of program startup activities, management review conduct, design support, code reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, monitoring and managing verification plan activities, developing verification schedule, maintaining verification schedule, Configuration Control Board participation, customer support, requirements verification, cost account manager, and test facility usage. Required Skills: - 10-12 years of experience in integration of RF Military or Commercial Satellite / Radio communications systems (SATCOM, Command-and-Control), or complex test equipment systems - Experience in requirements development process to formulate the appropriate verification plans and procedures needed to verify system requirements - 10-12 years of successful task management experience - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are required for frequent interaction with multiple product organizations and test team members - Excellent organizational skills - Availability to travel to customer site Desired Skills: - Experience in field installation and integration - Experience in systems engineering and/or design of RF communications systems - Masters in Engineering a plus - Past Qualification test experiences using Mil-Std-810, Mil-Std-461 standards and DISA Satellite Certification - E xperiences in Risk Management, EVMS, and conducting Cost and Schedule Review Required Education (including Major): BS Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
