Sr. Project Engineer/Program Manager

SAFE, Inc. is a small growing hi-tech engineering firm located in the Phoenix metropolitan area.  At present we are primarily pursuing and conducting Research and Development programs sponsored by various agencies of the US Government.  We are looking for a Project Engineer/Program Manager who can take major responsibility for conducting unique research and development programs.  The engineer that fits these requirements will be able to accept responsibility for all aspects of the job including, writing proposals, managing programs, leading the design and development team, coordinating with the customer, achieving program goals and satisfying the reporting requirements. To satisfy this profile the individual should not only be a leader, but should be self motivated, willing to take ownership and lead detailed project plans and budgets, able to creatively resolve issues by evaluation of technical data and risk assessments and be able to effectively manage priorities and multiple projects in a fast paced environment with competing demands.  Good planning skills required using program management techniques to execute complex schedules and tasks.  Should have experience with mechanism design, and should also be proficient in writing and speaking.  Computer skills and experience with Solid Works is an asset.

Position requires some limited travel

 

Compensation range is $65,000 to $85,000 depending upon experience.

BS Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering plus a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
