Raytheon Vision Systems' (RVS) vision is to be the most admired firm in the industry for discriminating focal plane array based senor solutions. RVS has been a technology development and manufacturing leader for 55 years and our product line includes focal plane arrays, sensor electronics including signal processing, integrated dewar assemblies and cryocoolers. Job Description: Optimize new and current designs for improved reliability. Improve product reliability through analysis of field samples, statistical analysis and design changes. Provide Reliability Engineering support to design engineering teams. Diagnose product issues with customers, suppliers and representatives and provide innovative solutions. Utilize statistical techniques such as Weibull analysis to predict product failure rates and quantify improvement activities. Serve as a consultant to broaden deployment of Reliability tools at Raytheon Vision Systems. Establish methods for early indicators of warranty problems, lead failure investigations. Develop test methods to simulate field environment. Develop product reliability goals and processes to achieve them. Develop product duty cycles, and design goals. Support and Develop design guidelines for product reliability. Participate in design, FMEA, and product development gate reviews. Review product reliability targets and test results to confirm reliability. Required Skills: -Minimum of 6 years professional engineering experience. -Experience with Reliability Engineering methods and practices. -Strong problem solving skills utilizing data to support problem resolution. -Excellent people skills including team building and leadership abilities. -Ability to work independently and proactively without direct supervision. -Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently. -Experience with product development systems. -Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio. Desired Skills: -Trained in the Six Sigma methodology (Black Belt preferred) or equivalent statistical analysis techniques. -Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Design for (X). -Knowledge of Reliability software packages: ReliaSoft or MiniTab ASQ CRE. -Working knowledge of Highly Accelerated Stress Screening and Highly Accelerated Life Testing. Required Education(including Major): Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Science.
