Bring your talent and skills to the following IDS group: SED: The Software Engineering Directorate (SED) is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, test and validation activities for these systems within IDS . We provide engineering design processes, standards and test expertise to Raytheon's current programs, along with new system technology development. Background: THAAD is a terminal phase element of the U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). U.S. defense against short and medium range ballistic missiles is a two-tier response (Figure 1.2-1) designed to provide near leak-proof protection for critical, high priority military and civilian/geopolitical assets. THAAD contributes to the near leak-proof defense against ballistic missiles by providing the upper tier portion of the two tier defense. The THAAD mission is to protect multiple, widely dispersed assets from short and medium range ballistic missiles. Job Description: As a member of the THAAD Fire Control and Communications team the selected candidate will perform software integration, maintenance, and implementation of new capabilities. Respond to detected anomalies through analysis and debug. Collaborate with teammates to devise and implement creative solutions. Perform testing and verification of implemented solutions. Incorporate robust new capabilities into the existing design and code baseline using innovative approaches. The job responsibilities also include ensuring the flexibility of the design and producing quality code that conforms to Raytheon standards. The application involves object oriented and highly multi-threaded C++ & Ada95 software communicating through CORBA in a UNIX environment. Required Skills: - Minimum of 4 years experience in software development including software design, development, test, and integration. - Practical experience using Ada95 or C++. - Knowledge of Object Oriented Design concepts. - Active DoD Secret Clearance - Required Education(including Major)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related engineering degree.
