Sr Software Engineer I (HMI Engineer)

LOCATION: SAINT PETERSBURG, FL 33701 Job Description: Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Engineer needed for the design and development of the user-interface components for an information management and knowledge sharing solution. The successful candidate will develop and integrate HMI knowledge and information visualization, GIS, collaboration, and streaming video services. Adaptable, data-driven UI layouts required for standard computer monitors as well as handheld touch screens and PDA devices. Job Requirements: Demonstrated experience in delivering production high-performance object-oriented client/server and web-based systems Experience in Human Factor Engineering/HMI development Java programming experience Strong technical and written/oral communication skills. Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree is required. Desired: Familiarity with the entire software development life cycle, and rapid prototyping experience.
