Sr. Software Engineer II

LOCATION: STATE COLLEGE, PA 16801 Job Description: Key contributor to software development and new business support. This includes performing in a LSWE role to lead overall software development and maintenance programs of 10 or more individuals or acting as a software technologist to lead investigation,training, and inclusion of specific software technologies (i.e., ORACLE, networking, internet, GUI, etc.) into program solutions. Required Skills: Practical experience in managing multiple concurrent efforts and coordinating work assignments among multiple project activities. Practical experience in direct customer interaction to define program requirements and scope and report program status. Ability to support new business initiatives. Ability to design software using structured and/or object-oriented approaches. Proficient in programming languages Java, C, C++, and Perl. Experience with tools such as DOORS, ObjectTeam, Rational Rose and Clearcase is a plus. Must be a US Citizen clearable for special security clearance accsess. Desired Skills: Direct interaction with Program Management in defining new business initiatives. Software technology experience to support developing unique solutions to complex program requirements. Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or Computer Science-related major.
