Sr Software Engineer II- Tools

Model Driven Development (MDD) Tools Specialist. Expert-level tools specialist / developer, responsible for tools integration, maintenance, user support and UML-based MDD tool mentoring. Some software component development also required. Candidate will facilitate Raytheon software development teams in building, testing and deployment of software components using the IBM Rational Rose Technical Developer tool-suite, targeting a real-time embedded system. Required Skills: Must have a minimum of 6 years development experience using IBM Rational MDD tool technologies, including IBM Rational Rose Technical Developer (aka Rose RealTime), Rational Systems Developer / Modeler (RSD / RSM). The successful candidate should be self directed and have at least 6 years experience developing embedded software using C/C++ and COTS RTOS environments. Must have thorough knowledge of OOAD, agile-methods and software components development using frameworks. Desired Skills: Familiarity with the following is highly desirable: Workbench/VxWorks, Linux, PowerPC processor architecture, CORBA, ACE/TAO, XML, perl scripting language, Rational Unified Process (RUP). Ability to work in schedule driven, multi-disciplined team. Background or work experience in the areas of radar signal processing and/or electro-optical image processing would also be a plus. Required Education(including Major): A minimum of a BS (MS preferred) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics.
