Sr Systems Engineer I (HTI-Requirements Development)

This position is for an electro-optics systems engineer in support of the Combat Systems Horizontal Technology Integration program. The candidate will work closely with the Lead System Engineer to support the integration and test of the HTI system into existing and future ground vehicle sensor systems. The candidate will also work with cross-discipline teams (EE, ME, SW, SCM and PE) to support system enhancement design and integration. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining algorithm description documents, performing design trades, resolving factory and field issues and for briefing status and resolutions to the Program Manager and Customers. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in developing, integrating and testing electro-optic imaging systems and fire control systems, vehicle/turret integration, requirements development, compliance verification, and production program support. Required Skills: Experience in the following areas: « Understanding of the operation and performance of electro-optic imaging and fire control systems « Utilizing numeric analysis and/or models to make technical decisions and trades « Ability to solve complex problems « Ability to execute tasks with little supervision or direction « Developing and maintaining an interface control document or interface requirements specification « Working closely with technically skilled Teammates and Customers « Excellent written and verbal communications skills Desired Skills: « Prior experience working with electro-optic sensors and imaging systems « Prior experience working with fire control systems « Utilizing MATLAB, NVTHERM or other models to evaluate systems performance « Experience investigating and resolving production or field failures Required Education (including Major): BSEE or BSME. MSEE or MS Systems Engineering specializing in electro-optics preferred.
